INTRODUCTION

Surrey County Council have been working towards our goal of building a network of sustainable travel routes around Guildford for cyclists and pedestrians. Sustainable or Active Travel routes are designed to minimise car traffic and promote low impact ways to travel that are less harmful to the environment, such as walking and cycling. The London Road Active Travel scheme from New Inn Lane to York Road along the A3100, including Boxgrove Roundabout is proposed as part of this network.

We want to ensure our roads are safer and more accessible for children, pedestrians and cyclists travelling around Guildford, for now and in the future.

The scheme's route is arranged around three sections, Section No. 1 commences from the roundabout junction between New Inn Lane and London Road (in Burpham) and ends at the Boxgrove roundabout. Section No. 2 is centred around the Boxgrove roundabout. Section No. 3 commences from the Boxgrove Roundabout and ends at the crossroads junction between the A3100 London Road and the A246 York Road (in Guildford). After we ask you for your overall opinion of the scheme, we will ask you for your opinion on each of these sections, you only need to respond to the sections that you feel will have an impact on you. You can comment on all.

There are links to detailed descriptions of the proposed design and traffic management for each section within the survey.

This survey is part of a wider engagement exercise, which includes information events at which you can access further information:
